1. FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX DU CANADA (JUNE 10 TO 12, 2016)
The entire city comes alive with Grand Prix Formula 1 excitement and festivities. You can attend the qualifying rounds as well as the final race during the day while enjoying all the festivities Montreal has to offer including a very vibrant nightlife. Outdoor concerts, modified cars and kiosks all come together for your entertainment. Of course, if you're lucky, you may be able to see the race car drivers or the celebrities roaming the streets.
2. LES FRANCOFOLIES DE MONTRÉAL (JUNE 9 TO 18, 2016)
Dive into the world of French music in the heart of downtown. With nearly 70 indoor shows and 180 free outdoor concerts, the Francofolies offer what is best in French music, from pop to rock to blues, jazz and world music.
3. L’INTERNATIONAL DES FEUX LOTO-QUÉBEC (JULY 2 TO 30, 2016)
The magic of lights is back for a 32nd edition of L’International des Feux Loto-Québec! World-renowned firms representing their respective countries are invited to participate in the fireworks competition recognized as the most prestigious in the world. The best spot to watch the fireworks is certainly from the bleachers of La Ronde.
4. MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE (JULY 7 TO 17, 2016)
For 11 days, Montreal moves to the rhythm of circus arts. Its venues, streets, parks, and sidewalks become stages to showcase colourful, high-flying performances from here and around the world. An event not to be missed, MONTRÉAL COMPLÈTEMENT CiRQUE presents diversity in all its forms and expressions by creating moments where the most talented artists from the circus world come together to perform.
5. FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DE JAZZ DE MONTRÉAL (JUNE 29 TO JULY 9, 2016)
Every summer, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal leads the Quartier des spectacles downtown. The Festival hosts some 30 countries, 3,000 musicians and public entertainers, 1,000 concerts and activities—two-thirds of them free – in 15 concert halls and on 8 outdoor stages, welcoming more than 2 million visitors to the city, from noon to midnight!
6. FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL NUITS D’AFRIQUE (JULY 12 TO 24, 2016)
Colorful and full of warmth, Nuits D'Afrique specializes in African origin music from worldwide. By encouraging the best of old and new world traditions in a spirit of magic and family filled with passion, the festival proposes more than 600 artists, singers, acrobats, dancers and musicians from 35 countries.
7. JUST FOR LAUGHS FESTIVAL (JULY 13 TO 31, 2016)
Every summer, Just for Laughs festival tickles the city into a laughing frenzy with galas, street art, theatre productions, and stand-up performances. The largest comedy festival in the world welcomes the most famous comedians and talents of the future.
8. OSHEAGA, FESTIVAL MUSIQUE ET ARTS (JULY 29 TO 31, 2016)
This year edition of Osheaga features Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead and Lana Del Rey! Do not miss this world class music festival, on the picturesque site of Parc Jean-Drapeau, in front of the Old Port of Montreal.
