1) A nice complicity between the performers
The style variation in performances has allowed us to enjoy unique musical compositions. Whether it's the sensational entry of Alaclair Ensemble followed by the sweetness of Charlotte Cardin, or the dynamic duo of Patrice Michaud and Émile Bilodeau, not to mention the unforgettable performances of three great geniuses of music, Daniel Bélanger, Michel Louvain and Robert Charlebois, the performances shows a great complicity among the performers
2) Thanksgiving both funny and moving
As always, each artist has left his personality and personal touch in his thanks. Thanks to Daniel Bélanger for the good laugh, to Patrice Michaud for his touching sincerity, to Serge Postigo for daring to say the real things and to Émile Bilodeau who managed to beat the flow of Louis-Josée Houde
3) A beautiful dose of love, passion and fraternity among artists
With awards and thanksgiving there was felt a strong sense of brotherhood and pride in being a part of this great musical family. Many also emphasized women importance and their music contribution. Congratulations to Klô Pelgag who is the first woman to win the singer-songwriter award since 1993.
4) The witty humor of Louis-José Houde
Louis-José Houde, who hosted for the 12th time the ADISQ Gala, knew, as always, to make the audience laugh with his thoughtful humor. His witty words punctuated with crisp anecdotes and a musical performance, in collaboration with Ariane Moffatt, were simply perfect.
5) A first award for Hip-hop
This year was a great victory and a historic event for the Quebec hip-hop world. For the first time in the main Gala, an award was presented for the album of the year in the hip-hop category. The award-winning collective Alaclair Ensemble emphasized that this victory is shared, with rappers of the past, present and future.
6) The homage to Léonard Cohen
How to miss the tribute to Leonard Cohen, this great genius of music. The Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier vibrated in unison under the sound of Hallelujah sung at Capela. Adam Cohen's emotional testimony ended with a touch of humor about the rivalry between Schwartz's smoked meat and that of Maine in the United States.
8) Congratulations to winners and nominees
We would like to congratulate all the winners, nominees and all the music cast for your achievement. Gouverneur Hotels are proud to support local artists!
